December 18, 2012 Regular Meeting
Agenda Item #17

Item Title
C-19 Fourth Amendment of Interlocal Agreement between the School Board of Clay County; a political subdivision of the State of Florida; and Eagle Harbor at Fleming Island Joint Venture

Issue/Rationale

The Development Order for Eagle Harbor allowed for a development credit against future school impact fees based on the increased taxable value for property within the Development of Regional Impact (DRI).  The development credit is based on the value of the improvements to the property within the DRI.  The certified calculation of the development credit is required to be approved by the Clay County Board of County Commissioners and the School Board.

Recommended Action

Approve the fourth amendment to the Interlocal Agreement.

Financial Impact

No direct cost to the School Board of Clay County.  The credit against the school impact fees is supported by the increase in the property taxes within the DRI.
